Put all ingredients except the meat in a blender.
Puree until smooth.
Put beef and pork in large bowl, add puree and mix everything together until it has a smooth, even color and consistency – use both hands, letting it squeeze through your fingers.
Put in loaf pan and bake in a 350 degree oven for about an hour. After cooking for about 30 minutes, pour the remainder of the tomato sauce over the top and finish cooking.
Remove from and let loaf rest for 15-20 minutes, so it will retain most of the juices when cut.
